Health Care in the Middle East
Hospitals in the Middle East are usually quite modern and maintain a high standard of medical practice. They are structured very similar to hospitals in the western world. Many hospitals use English as the working language. Because of the arid climate, a common ailment is dehydration, so be sure to drink plenty of water. Also, important to note is that alternative medicine, like homeopathy, are banned in the Middle East. If you use such medications, make sure you bring a Doctor’s prescription with you. Most medical will be fully covered, but please check with your school about the specifics, as sometimes things like Dental Insurance is not covered.
